Project Info
Running a Kickstarter project is no joke. There’s a ton of details to go over, so here’s an outline of everything you can expect from the Pro Gamer’s Guide to Defeating Trolls Kickstarter project!
Project Launch: Saturday, April 26th @ 1:00 PM ET
Project Conclusion: Saturday, May 17th @ 9:00 PM ET
We have 21 days to fully fund the project!
Funding Goal: $45,000
If the project does not reach its’ funding goal by 9:00 PM ET on Saturday, May 17th, the trolls will win, and the book won’t get made. 😔
New feature - Pledge Over Time is available!
We are one of the first creators to offer Kickstarter’s new feature that allows backers to split their pledge into 4 equal payments.
Here’s how you can take advantage of this option:
You can access Pledge Over Time once you reach a $125/€125 pledge minimum
You will see an option to “Pledge in Full” or “Pledge Over Time”
The first charge will happen when the campaign ends successfully, with the remaining 3 happening every 2 weeks

Shipping + Taxes
Shipping will be charged after the project concludes. You will be sent a survey asking for your shipping address and other necessary information sometime around February 2026 (which is when you’ll be asked to pay for shipping.)
Your pledge may or may not be subject to Sales Tax, VAT, or GST, depending on your location. We will not collect taxes on behalf of non-USA backers. Recipients will be responsible for their country’s equivalent fees and are solely responsible for determining potential tax liabilities at the time of deliveries.
All pledges will ship from the United States of America.

Brian Saviano is a full-time family-first content creator known as Bricks ‘O’ Brian. Audiences of all ages enjoy his gaming videos, podcasts, and live shows across your favorite streaming platforms. His mission is to create an energetic, welcoming environment for his community. Brian’s favorite game is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (2024) on the Nintendo Switch.

Kevin Hinkle is a Freelance Artist, Graphic Designer & published book Illustrator from Austin, Texas. He earned his BFA from the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design in Denver, CO (2008) and has utilized his time, post-studies, to build a small business & personal brand. He's the father of 2 boys, a lover of art, animation and retro videogaming. His favorite videogame is EarthBound (1994) on the Super Nintendo.

Risks and Challenges
This being our third Kickstarter project, we've eliminated hurdles and tackled common shortcomings with publishing-related endeavors.
Given the ever-changing world economics, we'll remain communicative, as costs may change between the beginning of our project and the time it's time to ship. Our final products and surrounding content will reflect the value of your pledge when it's all said and done. If, for any reason, it isn't, we'll make it right.
